The secondary students celebrated on Thursday with a quiz made by Miss Williams, and the primary pupils celebrated with lots of different activities on Friday.

We received free World Book Day books from the Dartmouth Community Bookshop that we got to keep and take home.

The children dressed up as various book characters such as Mary Poppins, Harry Potter, Pippy Long Stocking and Little Red Riding Hood. Lessons were taught by book characters such as Sophie from the BFG, Little Miss Giggles, Gangsta Granny and Snow White.

In primary we celebrated each other’s costumes in an assembly presented by the Highway Rat.

The day was full of fun, laughter and lots of talking about our love of books and reading.

Thank you to primary families for donating so many books, our library shelves are looking very full and exciting!
