Tis the Season to Be Crafty: Community Invited to Make Christmas Decorations

27th November 2024

Dartmouth Academy will be spreading a little Christmas cheer next month, with a festive bauble making workshop.

The local community is being warmly welcomed into school to take part in the festive workshop on Tuesday  3 December from 3.30pm until 5.00pm, being run by Claire Manning, a parent at Dartmouth.

The event will be held in the Art & Design department and people will be able to make their own felted bauble, which can be personalised to turn it into a special Christmas gift.  There will be a £5 entry fee to cover the cost of the materials.

Nicola Perrott, Assistant Headteacher at Dartmouth Academy, said:

“This will be a wonderful festive workshop so please do come along if you can.  We really want the community to enjoy all the different activities we host and I am looking forward to the festive atmosphere on the day.”

Matthew Shanks, CEO at Education South West said:

“It’s great to see that Dartmouth Academy is making such efforts to offer local people a fun and exciting range of workshops. These events foster a strong sense of community spirit, which is so important to us at Education South West.  I hope the event is a huge success and that people enjoy their baubles for many years to come.”
