In Engineering we encourage students to understand the processes of engineering design and how market requirements inform client briefs. With a strong focus on current issues such as environmental responsibility we use design and practical activities to develop skills in computer modelling and model making and how to communicate design ideas effectively. They are able to use our well-equipped workshop with traditional hand tools, the forge, workshop machines and computer aided manufacture such as 3D printers and a laser cutter.
