In F1, children learn through play, and also have a mixture of whole class, small group and individual activities with many opportunities to follow their own choice of play.

We have a Read Write Inc. phonics session where the children learn initial sounds, finger gym, music, have pen pals for writing, action songs, number rhymes, fun fit and forest school.

We aim to develop a love of reading and encourage children to take books home to share with parents.

Good behaviour is rewarded with stickers and we have a marble jar which, when full, means they can have a treat!
